Tens of thousands of people in Iran’s Southern Hormozgan Province bid farewell to the body of Martyr Brigadier General Alireza Tangsiri, the martyred commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps’ Navy, in the provincial capital, Bandar Abbas.

On Tuesday, the warm-hearted people of Bandar Abbas embraced the body of Rear Admiral Tangsiri like a precious jewel and bid him a tearful farewell. The city has never witnessed such a magnificent funeral procession.

This brave and courageous commander of the seas maintained a close and friendly bond with the coastal residents.

The farewell ceremony in Bandar Abbas began from Imam Khomeini Square and proceeded toward the city’s Grand Mosque. Along the entire route, grateful citizens filled the streets, giving the procession an epic and solemn atmosphere.After the funeral in Bandar Abbas, the body of Martyr Tangsiri will be transported to Tehran, where another grand ceremony will be held in the capital to honor this valiant and courageous commander of the nation.

Rear Admiral Tangsiri was not merely a military commander; he was a sympathetic friend to the coastal people. His problem-solving approach toward the needs of the people will remain etched in their memories.

In a message on the martyrdom of Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasized that Iran’s path of naval power and resistance will continue stronger than before.

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), also announced that following the martyrdom of Brigadier General Tangsiri, the IRGC will create “surprises” in the coming days and months.
